Our Public Works and Greenspace crews have been working around the clock since last night, running 12-hour shifts with six trucks to keep roads as safe as possible. Today’s extreme cold has made operations especially challenging, causing equipment issues that have required crews to briefly bring trucks indoors to thaw before returning to service.
Due to continued snowfall, crews have had to repeatedly re-clear primary routes, which has delayed progress on secondary streets. Beginning with the 10:00 PM shift change tonight, crews will focus on secondary streets and continue working through the night until they are cleared.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as our teams work hard under tough conditions. Please stay safe and warm out there!
