The City of Fort Thomas is looking for volunteers for multiple other Boards. Currently, there is 1 open seat for the Design Review Board and 1 open seat on the Tree Commission. Some of these boards and commissions do not have immediate openings, but we would like to be prepared with residents in the pipeline, in lieu of a vacancy. The applicable Boards/Commissions are:
– Planning Commission (PC), which review matters pertaining to development/improvements through the Unified Development Ordinance and other applicable ordinances.
– Design Review Board (DRB), which evaluate aesthetic/architectural/historical elements associated with development/improvements in our historical/business districts.
– Tree Commission (TC), which review City tree plantings and removals, as well as a general promotion of trees.
– Board of Adjustment (BOA), which evaluate variances, conditional uses, and other regulated zoning matters.
Completed applications are due by February 2, 2026, for the open seats. Fill out the below survey with the requested information and documents. For boards that don’t have an immediate opening, they will accept responses on a rolling basis and reach out to people as needed.
