Happy holidays from Rumpke! Here are some important service reminders as their team heads into the holiday season.
Service Schedule:
Service will NOT occur on Thursday, December 25, 2025 (Christmas Day) or on Thursday, January 1, 2026 (New Year’s Day). Service will be delayed one day during the rest of the week. Rumpke will return to its regular collection schedule the following week.

Naughty List (not accepted in Rumpke’s recycling program):
- Christmas Lights
- Ornaments
- Christmas Trees (Real or artificial)
- Lithium-ion batteries
- Tissue Paper
- Ribbons & bows
- Toys
- Foil wrapping paper
- Candles & candle holders
- Greeting cards with sound (they contain lithium-ion batteries)
- Styrofoam
- Plastic Packaging (packing peanuts, bubble wrap, etc.)
Nice List (acceptable items):
- Non-foil wrapping paper
- Cardboard boxes
- Paper gift bags
- Gift boxes
- Glass bottles & jars
- Newspapers, sales ads, and junk mail
- Beverage cartons
- Clean pizza boxes
- Aluminum & steel cans
- Paperboard (like cracker & cereal boxes)
- Postcards, greeting cards, and envelopes
- Plastic bottles, jugs, tubs, and cups (Colored party cups, like Solo® cups, are not accepted in Rumpke’s traditional recycling program)
