The Fort Thomas Police Department and the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office have sent out a notice about scammers calling and asking for donations for the Sheriff. This will never happen as it is illegal for the Sheriff’s Office to take donations.
The Sheriff’s Office will also never call you and ask you to pay over the telephone to resolve any legal document or warrant, nor will any deputy meet you outside of our offices to rectify a situation.
In addition to the phone calls, scammers are using the departments name and address of 1098 Monmouth Street as a place to meet in the parking lot to settle an issue. This does not happen.

Callers are also masking their number with our number, so do not trust anyone asking you to pay to resolve a legal issue over the phone. Hang up and call Campbell County Sheriffs Office to verify first.
