As we are moving close to the elections, we want to remind people about the yard sign ordinances and simple ways of following it. These signs are considered temporary and do not require permits, but they are regulated. Please note that:
- Signs not exceeding twelve (12) square feet are permitted to be placed on private property.
- Signs may not be erected or placed on public property, or on rocks, trees, public fences, sign posts, light poles, or utility poles on public property.
Check out LINKGIS at https://linkgis.org/mapviewer/ for property line locations to ensure that yard signs are not being placed on the city’s right of ways. The grass between the sidewalk and the street is almost always right of way.”
