Looking for a fun event this weekend showcasing the arts?
The Fort Thomas Arty party will feature several participating businesses with activities, public art, and live music to get everyone up and moving and maybe checking out businesses for the first time on Saturday, August 24 starting at 5pm.
The Cultural Arts Center will be exhibiting artwork from artists Terri Schmitt, Ted Borman, Lori Wendling, Tim Lancaster, Ben Harrison, William Linthicum, and Ken Landon Buck at the Arty Party! Stop in to view their pieces in the gallery and to check out the progress on the building’s renovations. Fort Thomas Coffee will be featuring a Latte Art Throw down at 7pm, Rehabilitation Performance will be tie dying shirts, Uniquely Bold Bridal will be hosting a fashion show inside 18 North Fort Thomas Avenue, Comal Restaurant will be showing how to make delicious homemade salsa, and there will be games and deals for the evening at other participating businesses in the district. The city will also be doing a yarn bomb art feature at the clock tower and is inviting the community to participate.
Live music by IconX from 5:30-7:30pm and Mad Costanza will be taking at stage from 8-10pm will be rocking out at the city’s clock tower located at 42 North Fort Thomas Avenue.
